In the 1960s, Nalgene's scientists (who were avid hikers themselves) hit the trails along with one of their durable, leakproof, lightweight lab bottles. With that, a new product—and category—was born, and Nalgene became the original reusable water bottle for hikers, travelers, athletes, and everyday users alike.
